Service area map
A service area map that answers do you cover me before they call.
Let a visitor type their address and get a straight answer: covered, or not. Built for a business with no fixed shopfront, where the useful unit on the map is a coverage radius or zone rather than a pin.

A real locator capture. This version is designed for a trade or mobile service that travels to the customer rather than trading from a storefront. Open the full-size example to search it. Rivet Plumbing is an invented concept brand using sample data.
Built around the search
Answer the one question a mobile business gets asked first.
A visitor checking a trade's website is not browsing locations. They are standing at an address, wanting to know whether this business will come to them.
- 01
Coverage, not just a pin.
Show a service radius or drawn zone per crew, branch or technician, so the map communicates reach honestly instead of implying a shopfront that does not exist.
- 02
A useful answer when you don't cover them.
An address outside every zone still gets a next step: a wider search, a call-out fee note, a contact form, or a message that coverage is expanding there.
- 03
Built for a phone, mid-job.
Most of this traffic is someone standing at the address in question. Phone-first result cards, a call action, and no dependency on directions to somewhere that isn't a shop.
Search and discovery
A visitor finds the nearest useful location without scanning the whole list.
The locator opens, the visitor types a town or postcode, and results reorder by distance. Search, filters, labels and layout are settings you control, not fixed behaviour.
Start with the spreadsheet you already maintain. Import a CSV, review the locations, then keep the same embed as the list changes.

Install on Custom HTML
Add it to the page people land on before they call.
Paste the generated script onto your existing site. Coverage areas, technicians and service categories stay managed in Handled, so an expanded territory is a location edit, not a web-development ticket.
Paste in the page body

The practical questions
What changes after the trial?
Keep the design, locations and embed. Choose a plan based on location count and team seats. Your map usage remains on the Mapbox or Google account you control.

Before you choose
Questions buyers ask about this setup.
- Do results have to be a fixed radius around one point?
- No. A location record can carry a coverage radius, or you can describe the zone in the location's own fields, such as named cities, counties or postcode ranges, when a circle does not match how the business actually operates.
- What happens when someone searches an address you don't cover?
- You control the outside-area message. Common choices are a wider search, a contact form for a custom quote, or a note that coverage is planned there. The default is never a dead end with no next step.
- Can I show technicians or crews instead of branches?
- Yes. Each location record can represent a branch, a crew or an individual technician, each with its own coverage, categories and contact action, filtered the same way a multi-location retailer filters stores.
- Who pays for the map traffic?
- You connect your own Google Maps or Mapbox key. That provider bills map usage directly; the Handled subscription covers the locator product, location capacity and team seats. The map cost calculator estimates what that traffic actually costs before you commit.
Turn do you cover me into a booked job.
Start from the service-area design, add a handful of real zones and test the addresses your customers actually search before you commit.
