Wix store locator
A Wix store locator that keeps working as you grow.
Add an Embed HTML element, paste one snippet, and give visitors a searchable map with filters, opening hours and directions. Locations are managed in Handled, so the page you build today does not need editing again.

Real widgetA real locator capture. This version is designed for a mobile trade that covers an area rather than a shopfront, so the map shows coverage and the phone number is the main action. Open the full-size example to search it. Rivet Plumbing is an invented concept brand using sample data.
Wix details
Publish the embed once. Keep improving the locator after.
Use a Wix Embed HTML element for the locator and give it a clear height on the page. The locations, filters, opening hours and visual settings remain editable in Handled without reopening the Wix editor.
- Place the locator in a Wix page with one embed.
- Set a predictable height for desktop and mobile.
- Change locations and styling without republishing Wix.
Built around the search
A Wix store locator for whoever also runs the site.
You are not going to keep a location list current if keeping it current means opening the Wix editor, finding the right element and republishing every time a phone number changes.
- 01
Change locations without touching the page.
New sites, corrected addresses, different opening hours and new filters are all edited in Handled. The Embed element on your Wix page stays exactly as you left it.
- 02
Search that scales past a pin per town.
Visitors search by town or postcode, filter by category, and see what is open now. Results page in as they scroll, so a long list stays quick on a phone.
- 03
Matched to the template you picked.
Colours, fonts, spacing, corner radius and marker style are yours to set, so the locator reads as part of the site rather than as a grey box someone dropped in.
Search and discovery
A visitor finds the nearest useful location without scanning the whole list.
The locator opens, the visitor types a town or postcode, and results reorder by distance. Search, filters, labels and layout are settings you control, not fixed behaviour.
Start with the spreadsheet you already maintain. Import a CSV, review the locations, then keep the same embed as the list changes.

Install on Wix
Add the Wix store locator with an Embed HTML element.
Add an Embed Code element, choose Embed HTML and paste the snippet. Then do the step people skip: drag the element taller. Wix gives an embed a fixed height, and a locator in a short box scrolls inside itself instead of filling the page.
Embed HTML element
<div id="biz-locator-root"></div>
<script src="https://cdn.handledlocal.com/widget.js"
data-site-id="your-site-id" async></script>Three steps to publish
- 1Add an Embed Code element and choose Embed HTML.
- 2Paste the embed code and resize the element so the locator has enough height.
- 3Publish, then open the public page to verify it.
The practical questions

Before you choose
Questions buyers ask about this setup.
- The locator looks cramped or scrolls inside a small box.
- That is the Embed element's height rather than the locator. Wix gives an embed a fixed size, so drag the element taller in the editor until the map and results have room, then republish and check on a phone as well as on desktop.
- Do I need to install a Wix app?
- No. It is an ordinary HTML embed, so nothing is added to your Wix account and there is no app to keep updated or to remove later.
- Do I have to republish Wix every time a location changes?
- No. The embed asks Handled for your locations when a visitor loads the page, so an address or an opening time edited in Handled is live without reopening the Wix editor.
- Can I show a service area instead of shop addresses?
- Yes. A location can be a coverage area rather than a street address, which is what the example above is showing. That suits trades and mobile services that travel to the customer rather than trading from a shopfront.
- Who pays for the map traffic?
- You connect your own Mapbox or Google Maps key. That provider bills map usage directly; the Handled subscription covers the locator product, location capacity and team seats.
