Validate your location CSV before it reaches your map.
Find missing names, missing addresses, invalid coordinates and repeated locations before you import. The file is parsed locally in your browser and is never uploaded.

What it checks
Six problems, each of which breaks a locator in a way that is hard to spot afterwards because the map still loads and the page still looks finished.
- No name
- A row with an address but no name renders as a blank entry in the result list. It is the most common export problem, usually a column that was named differently in the source system.
- No address and no coordinates
- Nothing to place on a map. These rows import successfully and then never appear in a search, which is why they are usually found by a customer rather than by you.
- Latitude and longitude are not valid numbers
- Coordinates that arrive as text, with degree symbols, or with the pair swapped. A swapped pair is the dangerous one: it places a shop in the sea rather than failing.
- Needs an address lookup
- An address with no coordinates. Not an error, but it tells you how many rows have to be geocoded, which is what a geocoding bill is charged on.
- Repeated earlier in this file
- The same location twice, usually from merging two exports. Duplicates stack markers on top of each other, so the map looks correct and the count is wrong.
- Already in your locations
- Checked when you import into an account rather than here, so a second upload updates what you have instead of creating a parallel copy of it.
The file never leaves your computer. Parsing happens in the browser, so you can check a stockist list you do not have permission to upload anywhere. When the list is clean, the readiness checklist covers what to check on the page itself before you publish.
