How to add a store locator to any website

A practical setup path for embedding a branded store locator on a website, from location data to mobile testing.

The short answer

Create the locator, import and review your locations, configure the visitor journey, then paste the embed where the locator should appear. The website remains yours. Handled manages the location data and widget configuration in one place.

Prepare the location data

Start with one row per physical location. Include a name, complete address, country, phone number, website, hours and any products or services visitors need to filter. Use the CSV import guide if this is a batch import, or Google Sheets sync when a team will maintain the list.

Configure the experience

Choose the search fields, radius, filters, open status, result actions and desktop or mobile layout before you embed the widget. Then set typography, colours, spacing, corners, markers and map style so the locator feels native to the page.

Embed and test

Paste the current Handled snippet into an HTML, Embed or Custom Code block on your website. Publish to a staging URL when the builder has a limited preview. Search for a known town, apply a filter, open a result, test directions and check the same flow on a phone.

Keep it accurate

Assign an owner for closures, hours and new locations. Review analytics for searches with no result and update the source data when a real visitor need appears. Open live examples to see the same product adapted to different brands.
