How to add a store locator to Shopify

A practical Shopify setup for brands that need a searchable store, stockist or pickup-point page.

The simplest approach

Use a hosted locator that gives Shopify a small embed block. Keep location data, filters and map settings in the locator dashboard, then place the widget on a dedicated Store locations or Where to buy page in Shopify.

Before you install

Prepare a CSV with one row per location. Include a stable name, address, country, phone, website, opening hours and any product or service tags visitors need. Decide whether the page is for shops, stockists, pickup points or all three.

Setup checklist

Work through this sequence before you publish the page.

  • Create the locator and import the location file
  • Review geocoding, duplicates and incomplete rows
  • Choose the search fields, radius and filters
  • Set the brand colours, type, layout, markers and map style
  • Install the Shopify app block or embed code on the target page
  • Test search, filters, phone links, directions and mobile layout
  • Publish the page and check it in an incognito browser
