What sync controls
Google Sheets sync lets a customer-owned spreadsheet remain the operational source for selected location fields. Handled reads the chosen file, previews creates and updates, and applies safe changes. It never writes back to the sheet.
Prepare stable IDs
Add a non-empty, unique column such as location_id. Keep the value attached to the same real location even when its name or address changes. Duplicate or blank IDs are conflicts and are never guessed.
Connect and map

Authorize Google Sheets
Open Data, choose Google Sheets and connect the Google account that owns or can access the file. - 2
Choose one spreadsheet
The Google Picker grants Handled access to the selected file rather than every file in Drive. - 3
Choose the tab and stable ID
Select the worksheet, identify its stable-ID column, then map only the fields the sheet should control.
Review and schedule
The first run is always a preview. Review creates, updates, unchanged rows, invalid rows, conflicts and rows missing from the source. Apply that first run manually. Afterward, choose manual, hourly or daily synchronization.
Conflicts and missing rows
Scheduled runs apply unrelated safe rows while leaving conflicts unchanged. Header drift and plan-cap failures stop the run. A row missing from the latest sheet is reported for review and is never treated as permission to delete the Handled location.
