Locations from a Webflow collection
If your locations already live in a CMS collection, connect it. The locator reads the collection, geocodes every address, and re-reads it on a schedule, so the editor who adds a store in Webflow never opens another dashboard. Each item's id links it to its location; an item that is unpublished, archived or deleted flags its location for review rather than removing it.
This is the same engine as Google Sheets sync, with the same preview before anything applies. Handled never writes to Webflow.
Embedding the locator on the Webflow page is a separate step, covered in install on Webflow.
Prepare the collection
One item per location, with a name and either one full address field or separate street, city, region, postcode and country fields. Only published items are read; drafts and archived items are left out, so staging a new store is as simple as leaving it unpublished.
- An Option field (store type, tier) maps to Categories. Its option names, not ids, are what the locator sees.
- A Multi-reference to a "Products" collection arrives as ids. Use a plain text field with comma-separated names instead, or a Switch per product.
- An Image field maps to the location image; the locator receives its URL.
- A Link field maps to Website, or to a custom field such as a booking page.
Connect
- 1
Connect Webflow
Open Data, find Webflow CMS sync and press Connect Webflow. Sign in and approve read access to the site. - 2
Or paste a token instead
Where the sign-in button is not offered, open Webflow's Site settings, then Apps & integrations, then API access, generate a token withcms:readandsites:read, and paste it. - 3
Choose site and collection
Pick the site, then the collection that holds the locations, and press Read fields. - 4
Map fields
Match the collection's fields to the locator's. The stable id is the Webflow item id.
Review and schedule
Review sync lists creates, updates, unchanged items and conflicts before anything is written. If the locator already holds the same stores, the first review links matching items to them instead of duplicating. Apply the first run by hand, then set every 15 minutes, hourly or daily.
Limits
- Up to 10,000 items per collection. Localized collections are read in the primary locale.
- Territories are not synced from Webflow.
- Changing the site, collection or mapping clears the item links; the next review re-links.
